Hump Day

Feels like Monday for some reason! Guess I should feel thankful that it's not. Just got done with a staff meeting (zzzzzzzzzzzzz). Need a few minutes to clear my head before getting back to the boredom. I guess I did get one good thing from the meeting -- someone from Sac P.D. was here today to talk about security and identity theft. I do need to take care of a few things right quick! Nothing I can do about the walk to the public parking garage, though. That's a major bone of contention for me here. If you're a staff person, your personal safety is put at risk by making you park a 2 block walk away from the building in a public parking garage -- while the attorneys and other more important staff people in the firm walk across an enclosed breezeway to the private parking garage attached to the office building. They outgrew this place years ago, and really should have done something about it so that safety does not depend on rank. That's bullshit! And it sucks because I know they don't see it that way. Then again, I can always go work somewhere else. I'd rather work for myself but I may have to find someplace else to work until I can make that happen. I hate that walk! Especially when I'm wearing my pointy death shoes.

Today I'm wearing open-toed platforms. Yes, I know it's raining outside but I'm protesting Punxsatawney Phil's prediction. I'm ready for Spring, dammit!

I'm also ready to blow out of here today. Everything that I have on my desk to do could be done by a high school student. Why am I here?! I guess I should be happy that I can make this kind of money doing things that I could do in my sleep, but I'm not. I'm BORED. It's not enough for me to do what I want only outside of work -- too much time spent at work not to get some enjoyment or fulfillment out of it. Fuck!

I need to turn my attention back to vacation planning. Cancun in June, Hawaii in October. I gotta make that happen! I need to get a hold of my Grammy, too, to make sure she got her petits fours since Fed Ex apparently just dumped them off at the doorstep. WAPITA! I also gotta get our credit reports ordered and see what those are looking like. Still waiting to hear back from the tax man to see what our next step will be in getting Jason his contractors license.

Man, that WAS a bunch of random thoughts. I feel scattered today. I just wanna go home!

Guess that's enough for now since obviously I don't have anything of interest to write. Lunch is over anyway.
