What have I done?
On one hand, a lot. On the other, not so much! I haven't even left the house today. As a matter of fact, I haven't even showered today! Gross, I know. I'll shower before I go to bed. I got up thinking I was going to do all kinds of things, and I did do a lot, but only around the house. Lots of laundry, lots of cleaning up, lots of taking stock. I have four big bags of stuff to go to goodwill now, and though I didn't get rid of as much as I would have liked, I got rid of a lot. I wrapped some more gifts, and I straightened up some things here and there that were getting a little out of control. We just have so much stuff hanging around that we don't even use or look at, so I'm sending it off to goodwill so it will hopefully find a good home. We just don't have the space for all that junk.
Yesterday I did some more Christmas shopping, mostly for stocking stuffers. I got the husband a few more CDs (and got myself one, of course -- Sheryl Crow's latest), got the stepdaughter some odds and ends, and found something for my best friend's son (DVD of Madagascar). I had hoped to finish the Christmas shopping this weekend, but it just wasn't to be. Since I work across the street from a mall, I can get some done during the week. Hopefully the rest of it! Still, I got a lot done as far as that is concerned so that was good.
I caught up with all my Tivo, too, so everything that's saved to the Tivo is stuff I've seen -- and won't erase. Among those are some anniversary specials of Inside the Actors Studio, an SNL with a Donovan McNabb skit as well as another SNL and a Conan O'Brien with James Blunt performances on it. I can't wait until that guy puts out something on DVD. I've found some other performances on line (VH1 concerts, videos, etc.) and am just dying to see the BBC performance from the other day! I also can't wait until he makes his way back to the U.S. I've really dug back into music over the past few months -- it's like I've rediscovered it or something. I'm really enjoying it.
So yeah, never left the house today. I made eggs w/cheese and toast this morning for breakfast, then we just popped a frozen pizza in the oven for lunch (barely passable), then tonight I was too lazy to go anywhere so we had pizza rolls and CHAMPAGNE for dinner. How's THAT for a gourmet meal?! Weird, I know. But, I didn't have to leave the house.
I need to go make the bed now and look over my work stuff. Tomorrow we have our management team lunch and gift exchange, and I think I might need to go exchange my gift for the exchange before the exchange (heh.). I'm just not sure I like what I bought (Victoria's Secret body splash samples). I also need to figure out what I'm going to wear to the managing partner's holiday party on Friday. AND I need to get started on the January newsletter! Tomorrow's the 12th already and I've done absolutely nothing for the next issue! One thing at a time.
For now, I'm going to go clean up the pile of photos off my bed which I pulled out of the closet while I was cleaning it, and then get my work stuff ready.
Oh, and I'll finish this glass of champagne I'm working on!

I was just thinking about how awesome it is to never leave the house on a weekend day. I didn't take a shower either. We're gross together, but that makes me happy.
