End of August

One of the worst months ever. Still, I am hopeful as work is going pretty well and I have been reaching out to friends like crazy, even if only to say "what's up." I know I am not functioning normally, though, as I have again arrived at work in flip-flops -- for the second time in a week and a half! I'm going to run across the street and see if I can find some shoes real quick so I don't have to skulk around the office hoping no one notices or hide at my desk. Of course, I've had to talk to all kinds of people today and even go to our main floor, risking being seen by clients. What can I say? I'm still not all here. I need to call Jeff's girlfriend today and see how she's doing -- 'cuz if the husband and I think our heads are in the clouds, I know she's in outer space.

I need a Pepsi. Maybe some caffeine will perk me back up and help me get on track. The husband and I are going to go to the State Fair tonight -- we had tickets we'd bought before it opened up, and I went with my dad one weekend day, but we still have 2 more tix. So I'm dragging him along with me so I can see what they're peddling out there (didn't get to see that when I was with dad) and eat something on a stick. Mmmmmcorndog.

We need to go do something fun, and I think checking out the farm animals for a second time is just the thing. I'll have to post pics from my previous visit, plus whatever I get tonight.
