2. Every Passing Moment
3. ~Apple-Pathways~
4. crashmebabyonemoretime
5. Perpetual Writer's Block
The top five things I miss about my childhood are:
1. Summer vacation -- not the one lonely week we get to take off now, but the whole seems-like-forever summer vacation from school. Endless days of swimming, chasing down the ice cream man's truck, watching hours upon hours of T.V., making and racing go-carts and playing with the dog.
2. Climbing trees. I used to love to do this. I could probably still do it, but I'd be worried about falling down and bugs and I'd probably look kinda stupid doing it. Is it even legal to climb trees anymore? Surely there must be something about it in those CC&R's half the world is living under now!
3. Sweet ignorant bliss. No memories of old boyfriends, friendships gone sour or faded away, just looking forward to the next fun thing and having no concern about the past. I'm pretty good about not dwelling on things, but they're still there -- floating around in the recesses of my mind.
4. Being tan! I used to tan so well. Not that orangey look that one might get from overdoing it, but just golden brown. I will probably pay for that someday. I've stayed out of the sun (for purposes of tanning, that is) for the most part, for about the last 7-10 years. When I see old pictures of myself I miss it. But I have accepted the fact that I am white white white and learned to embrace it.
5. No bills! Oh, lord, why don't they teach kids not to be in such a hurry to get a job and work all the hours they can? I don't mean that kids should be slackers and sponges -- just that when they do get jobs, they should learn to live on part-time wages and enjoy the rest of their time! No matter how much money I make, it all gets spent. I miss not having to be concerned about when this money or that money is coming in and turning around and paying it to someone else!
Bonus: Otter Pops. Otter Pops! I saw them in the store the other day and bought some. It was a dollar for a box. No wonder my mom was always buying them! It was 107 degrees here yesterday, and will probably get close to that again today. I'm having a red one when I get home.
