Maybe it'll refuse to let me out this morning so I can stay home.

I just re-read my post from yesterday. HA! The garage door crapped out on me. I didn't get to work 'til 12:30 'cuz the door wouldn't open, and I wasn't quite feeling better yet so I wasn't inclined to work very hard at leaving. I couldn't even force the door open at first, but finally figured it out then realized it wouldn't lock because the opener wouldn't latch back on to the door after I'd released it. It just kind of buzzed at me. Greaaat. Yep, we're really getting a new garage door and opener right this minute, kids! F.

So, I made some calls, and someone is coming out between 9:30 and 10:00 to take all the measurements and such. Yesterday I went to the garage door place and checked out what they had and decided what we wanted. Hopefully it will be installed in a day or two, and we can move on from this $1600 adventure. Yippee-kay-yay. Oh, so yeah, I'll be late to work today, too. Nothing I can do -- these places are open the same hours I work! Figures. Clearly, my heart is broken over the fact that instead of being at work in 6 minutes, I'll probably just be getting into the shower.

Of course, since I didn't have to actually get up at 5:30 this morning, I couldn't fall right back asleep. WTF? I finally managed to fall back asleep around 6:00 and woke up at 7:00. Good enough. Now I'm checking the e-mails and the blogs and the bank stuff and will have time to maybe do some laundry -- before I know it I'll be at work, then it'll be lunch time (though I won't take a lunch break, of course), then time to go home. Actually, I guess it turned out to be a good day to have to go in late again -- as usual, someone crashed their car at one of the busiest areas of the freeway in town. In fact, they didn't just crash it -- they rolled it over. I hope I never do that. Because if I do, it means I fucked up big-time. How often do people flip their cars and it's not their fault? Maybe back in the day when all the Ford drivers were on Firestone tires. Or maybe people swerving to miss some other putz that's crashing their car -- but doesn't that mean they were following too closely? Well, I just hope it never happens to me.

It's going to be hot as hell today. So much for that 64 degree weather I was complaining about not too long ago! It's supposed to be over 100 every day for at least the next 5 days. I feel bad for the husband, working outside and all. I'll probably still be using my space heater at work. Because you're supposed to keep the thermostat at 60 degrees in an office, right?

I had my hair done last night -- I'm gonna be sad to wash it, because I can never blow it out the way my hair chick does. She is so good with color, too! I had some blonde thrown back in, seeing as we are in the middle of summer and I was feeling dark -- it's lighter than I thought it would be but I like it. I'll have to load up a pic. Hold, please . . .
