It's almost here!

I love 3-day weekends. Every Monday should be a holiday. A paid holiday. If I were president, that'd be the first thing on my agenda. We don't even have any plans. Seems like back in the day, it was all about the plans. What are your plans? You got plans? Now it's all about no plans. ESPECIALLY on holiday weekends. Why would I want to spend a lot of money to jam myself into the same places everyone else is going? Don't get me wrong; I like to do things, plan things. But having no plans feels like utter freedom. No expectations, no time limits, nowhere I have to go, nothing I have to do. My favorite thing to do on holidays when everyone is leaving town is to stay in town! It reminds me of what it was like around here before Sacramento became this big damned deal and everyone started moving here from the Bay Area and So. Cal. to pay cash for their houses and clog up our freeways. I can breathe!

So we'll probably barbecue. And drink beer. And go shopping. And drink beer. And go on a picnic. And drink beer. And hang out with friends. And drink beer! Mmmmmmmmmmmmbeeeeeeeeeeer. Wish I had one right now. Must . . . stop . . . for . . . beer . . . on . . . the . . . way . . . home . . . tomorrow!

You know what the husband and I need to do -- find some patio furniture. Our back yard looks pretty good these days, with the sod growing like it's on 'roids. I wanna sit out there! AND DRINK BEER!

Alright, then -- apparently I have nothing to talk about aside from beer. Time to go do something else so I can have something to talk about!
