Bullshit!

That's my answer to "how was your day" for today. And it's only just after 1:00. Technology is not my friend, and neither is the catering business.

1) the doc management program I need to find something my boss asked me to find keeps erroring out and kicking me out. The tech dudes have been working on it since this morning.

2) the copier/scanner POS Xerox I needed to use to copy & then scan something was in the middle of my scan when someone sent a copy job remotely and FUBAR'd the machine w/a bunch of jams. But since I was the one standing there, guess who got to dig out all the paper while I was . . .

3) being paged incessantly because there were some people here for a meeting that I . . .

4) had set up previously but the person that is responsible for coffee & water assumed the people attending the meeting wouldn't want any because there were going to be water bottles included with their lunches which were . . .

5) an HOUR late because by the time they were a half hour late, I called to find out the status and was told there was no status. They lost our order. That I called in yesterday. To the owner of the business. To whom I spoke 2 or 3 times to confirm because, apparently, at the precise moment that I submitted the order on line, said caterer was in the process of changing servers so the order went into hyperspace!

Where the hell is my lottery ticket?! Surely I must be in line to win with all these unlikely things that are apparently only happening to me. Yes, just me. Even the issue with the document management program. Just me.

I should've known when I had trouble logging in this morning that I should have just turned around and gone home.

AND ANOTHER THING!

Right when my elevator hit the 14th floor this morning, I realized I left my big water bottle in the car. In the parking garage. 2 blocks away. Fuck me!

You bet your ass I went back to get it. I need my water. Not just to hydrate myself, but possibly to douse myself 'cuz I think my head is gonna catch fire soon.

And it's only 1:19.

Interestingly, I'm not really mad -- more apathetic than anything. I really just wanna get in the car and go home, and do what I want to do. Who needs this stinkin' lunch hour, anyway? I'd rather go home at 4!

Stupid business hours. Hissssssssssssssssssssss.

Yeah, and I can't even blame my parking spot on that. That's where they make us park where I work! I have a prepaid card & everything. I guess that's supposed to make up for the fact that we have to hoof it!
