Still Up
That's the bad news. The good news is, I've been through all our bills and written out everything I could and filled out the stupid DMV form for the husband's accident and all our ducks are basically in a row -- or as organized as they can be right now. I think I forgot to mention we also recently got a $65 bill from the court from a mediation the husband had regarding the stepdaughter nearly FIVE YEARS AGO. WTF? The bill stated it was for a so-called "child custody investigation." Right. What investigation? There was a mediation and a court hearing where one person lied and the other one got the short end of the stick. Guess which one the husband was. Anyway, that was a long time ago and things have changed quite a bit for the better as far as that situation is concerned, but still -- five years later you get around to sending a bill? That we had no idea was even coming? I think the courts must be looking for creative ways to make up for their budget shortfalls and this is one of the things they came up with. So there's yet another random dollar amount we can kiss goodbye thanks to the California Family Court system. They suck.
I've been letting the money worries get to me -- hence the piss & vinegar. Time to look on the bright side. Next!
It's officially December. As soon as I finish this, I'm off to bed. December is my favorite month: 1) because my birthday is this month; 2) because Christmas is this month; 3) because New Year's Eve is this month; and 4) because we get lots of celebrations, shortened work days, work holidays, and if you're not hanging around places like Wal-Mart, people are generally a little nicer this time of year.
So here it is. December. I stressed out through most of November. I'm going to try to reverse that trend for December. After I finish my newsletter . . . later TODAY! Gah!
Nighty night.

I'm glad you like December. It's probably my least favorite month. I think people are meaner this time of year because they are bickering over the last DVD in the store and stuck in long lines.
That 65 dollar bill is a little crazy. Just goes to show how quickly state gov'ts move, I suppose.
Have a great Thursday, babe.
Peachy: I'm just going to try and appreciate each day how much things have changed this year. We've really only hit some minor bumps -- so it's been a good year!
