The weekend's over already?
Went by pretty fast. I think I'm at the tail end of this cold -- amazing timing for me to come down with this last Tuesday night. Phthpppthtphttphththhhtpppht. I got a lot done this weekend, ran a lot of errands. I got a really cute shower curtain for the newly remodeled bathroom the other day, but it was messed up so I had to go exchange it. It's semi sheer, with little palm trees embroidered on it. Looks good. Picked up a few other odds & ends with a gift card I got for my birthay (early, and already spent). Did a little Christmas shopping, but I'm holding back a little until I know what's going on with the insurance company, etc. Mostly window shopping. We finally got the tree up, and have started putting ornaments up, but we have so many ornaments that we had to break it up. I spent more time putting the lights on the tree than I did ornaments. An hour of hanging ornaments was enough for me, because it was 9 o'clock by then and I'd really rather be in bed right now -- which is where I'm headed in a minute. Of course, I'm just going to pick up where I left on writing Christmas cards so I can mail those out tomorrow (hopefully), but at least I'll be in bed!
I still have to get the pics from the bathroom onto the PC so I can post them. My follow-up re: the desserts from Thanksgiving is that they were alright. I liked the 2 layer pumpkin cheesecake, but we left what was left of it at my dad's because the husband didn't feel like fussing with it. I think he regrets it now. Maybe my sister will eat it. My dad and stepmother tend to follow low carb, low cal, low fat, low flavor diets. Well, the last part is my take on it. But my sister, if she likes it, will eat it. I still have some pumpkin left from making the first pie, so maybe I'll make another. The chocolate chip cookie cake was a hit with the stepdaughter, and we did bring it back, but she went back to her mother's and the rest of it was still here. We've been grazing on it for a few days. The husband wasn't very impressed with it. I think if I made some kind of chocolate glaze/drizzle for it he'd warm up to it a little more.
Well, it's almost ten and I think the garbled mess above will have to suffice as a post. I'm just trying to get back into the habit after slacking so much, so I'm giving myself an A for effort.

Sounds like you had a really busy Thanksgiving even with the cold. Glad you're posting more.
