Well, hell, I'm still up -- so . . .
let's make it 3 days in a row. Three days of blogging. I'm back! I don't have much to say. I probably should go to bed, get up early, go to the gym, do some stuff around the house and then meet my friend for lunch. But I'm not real sleepy. Maybe I can go catch up on some more Tivo and finish sorting through the crap on my bed. I SHOULD have gotten some more laundry and stuff done tonight, but instead I read blogs. It's been so long -- I'm out of touch!
Check out my horoscope for today:
Today you might want to spend some time gardening. In fact, you might have a number of tasks to perform around the house and yard, but chances are you'll also have friends waiting to get together with you. Therefore you're apt to get your chores done quickly - and possibly create new and innovative ways of doing it! Interesting conversations feed your curiosity when you spend time with your friends. Enjoy your day.
On the one hand, the stars obviously don't realize that I am a friend to no plant. My poor plants generally don't get watered until they start to droop. It's not malicious on my part -- I just forget. I'm the kind of person who should probably have silk plants -- but I hate those. Then again, they are getting to the point that they look pretty damned real. Still, I'd have to dust them, and I'd probably forget that, too. Furniture I dust. Plants? Not so much. Anyway, on the other hand, it is true that I will have a friend waiting to get together with me, and that I will do what I can to get any chores out of the way before I meet her. How do they do that?
The husband just came home from playing poker at a friend's house telling me that he *almost* brought home some money. Lost it at the end. Luckily, he only had $10 to buy in, so I can't be mad that he lost $60 -- 'cuz obviously he really only lost $10. That's pretty cheap entertainment for a Friday evening. He and his brother are back now, fixin' to play some PS2. Some game called "Gun." All I hear is hours and hours' worth of BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM -- probably fun if you're playing it, but I liken it to having a little kid tugging at your clothes saying MOMMY MOMMY MOMMY MOMMY MOMMY MOMMY MOMMY MOMMY MOMMY over and over and over again until you finally realize how annoyed your subconscious is and you say WHAT? WHAT THE HELL DO YOU WANT?! In the case of the BLAM BLAM BLAM, all I can do is go to my room and close the door. Goddamned 51' HDTV is a fricking video game machine. Don't get me wrong, I like video games, but all night every night wears on the brain. At least mine. But they like it. Better than being out getting hammered every night, right? Oh man, I just remembered the PS3 is due out in a few months. *sigh*
I watched part of a Metallica documentary earlier, and their Icon appearance on MTV. Earlier on the drive home we heard Master of Puppets on the radio. Must be a Metallica kind of day. It reminded me of how much I like them. I saw them once in concert in 1991. I think I'm due! It'll cost a lot more now than it did back then, but I'd cough it up to see them again. I'll add it to the list.
I think my cold is almost gone. It might actually have run its course in just over 3 days! Now THAT is something to get excited about.
Time for me to log off this thing. I could ramble all night!

Not just PS3... but X-Box 360... and the new Nintendo machine. My kids will be parked in front of the TV for the remainder of winter, I'm sure. Not that that's a problem, since video games in Dolby 5.1 are not unbelievably annoying or anything. (rolling eyes) What do I want for Christmas? Earplugs!!
