My Grammy (1917-2005)

Grammy, 1936

What a sweetheart. This woman loved kids and made teaching them and taking care of them her life's work. I still can't believe she's gone. I'm just posting this picture so I can look at it whenever I want to.

what a beautiful woman... isn't it weird how there just aren't many beautiful women anymore?

Well, they certainly went out of their way more often to have formal portraits done! My last formal portraits were from my wedding . . . and before that, probably high school. Everything in between has been snapshots. Maybe we're spoiled by the prevalence of photographic images all around us. I do know that black & white photography RULES in making everyone look better! But she was beautiful, and very spunky.

I grieve for every grama we lose, who will show us how to be real ladies and still gut and clean a hog now?

Your grama knew she was loved by you, I am sorry for your loss. Tell us some more stories about her.
