Why Can't I Be the One Turning 29?!
My husband's birthday is coming up. He's gonna be 29. I'm 33. I think I wanna switch!
I've decided to be a little more creative this year and instead of giving him something with the Philadelphia Eagles plastered all over it, I'm going to give him something to help him along on his efforts to learn to play guitar. He has an electric one and an acoustic one, and he's come quite a way learning on his own, along with books, DVDs and tips from my dad (who got him started on all of this). My dad let him use one of his amps so now he's all gung-ho about it. So, I ordered a bunch of CDs he wanted from my record club (I had given him a catalog a long time ago and asked if there were any CDs he wanted in case a good sale came along, and he circled about 20 CDs so I never got around to it -- now I've ordered them all) for him and I'm gonna buy him some new picks and some guitar lessons at a local music store where he can get some one-on-one time with an instructor. He can decide which instructor he wants, depending on what he wants to learn. He'll love it! I love it when a gift comes together -- I'm never happy until I've found something I know the person I'm shopping for will love! It was actually pretty easy this time around.
I think tomorrow, since Jason's gonna go play golf after work, I'm gonna have to get back to my latest career book and finish that sucker. I need to decide if I want to go back to school and what the hell my goal is going to be! Well, at least things have been more interesting at work lately. I've been so caught up in the prospect of leaving that I haven't really cultivated new opportunities where I am -- so now I'm trying to do that, since the attorneys I am assigned to and my HR director seem to be listening now. I need to take advantage of whatever opportunities I can get to broaden my horizons. Onward and upward!
So now I'm off to finish my Glamour magazine and catch up on some TV, then nighty-night. I gotta get to sleep early enough to get in a workout before work. Going in the morning is the only way I can be sure I'll do it!

So very hip. So very now. So very trendy. Yes, I mean you & your younger husband. :) Don't you know, it's all the rage?
Good job on the gift ideas! Getting the perfect thing is so important to me too - I have to know that they'll LOVE it. So good job!
