Can I keep this up?
I've just had my 4th workout in 4 days -- my 6th workout in 9 days. And this after a bunch of starts and stops, not being serious. I'm really trying to get back in the habit. But dammit, my legs are tired! Last night I soaked my feet in this foot massager/tub thingy we have with fizzy salts, then slathered on lotion and put on some socks -- then I pulled out the other gizmo that's just a foot massager/heater and just sat there for a good half hour. My legs actually felt better -- but I'd better pace myself. I'm just trying to get in an hour a day -- not too much, but enough to make a difference. We'll see if I can keep it up.
Yesterday I also cleaned up the garage while the husband was out, and dragged this giant portable basketball hoop/pole contraption from the backyard to the side yard so we can get rid of it. Some former neighbors left it to us when they moved, but it's too big for the backyard -- the grass in the vicinity of the back patio is getting stomped by the stepdaughter and her friends, and it looks fucking ridiculous. We don't have anyplace else for it, and I want to put patio furniture out there. I told the husband and the stepdaughter they are just going to have to go up to the park or to the school if they want to play basketball -- besides, I'm tired of waiting for the ball to crash through the kitchen window or the dining room slider every time they get hit, which was a lot. So that damned thing has to weigh a couple hundred pounds. Luckily it's got some wheels on the front of its base so once I pulled off this giant hunk of concrete off it and dumped out 2/3 of the water in the base, I dragged it to the side of the house, navigating around the roof, the fence and the chimney -- it was a workout in itself. The backyard looks much better.
I also went shopping yesterday and came out with a little bag of Valentine's goodies for the husband. We're not doing anything big -- the whole restaurant scene will be a fucking disaster tomorrow -- but we are meeting up with my best friend and her fiance at a pizza place we like and when the husband and I get home we'll have some champagne and chocolates and such.
Other than that, not much to report. It's already going on 7:30 and I still have to shower, get ready for work, stop off at the shop and have a part replaced on my Pathfinder (from the Reno/snow fiasco) and THEN get my ass to work. My day has barely begun, but those workouts sure as hell make me feel like it has!
Ciao.

You had a busy weekend. I'm tired from reading everything you did. The foot massager sounds nice.
I should have brought it to work! That thing would fit nicely under my desk . . . but it might be a little too noisy!
