My husband is so goddamned stubborn!

I need to teach him the concept of agree to disagree. He obviously thinks that by yammering on about something over and over and OVER again that I will givein and change my mind. Uh, how 'bout no. Now let it go! Fuck!

In other news, we have been talking about getting a dog -- a Boston Terrier. This is unrelated to the disagreement. I just like the look of 'em, and they are supposed to be good-natured and intelligent. It would have to be an indoor dog because they are sensitive to extreme temperatures. That would be fine, though, because I wouldn't want him to dig up the back yard. A friend of mine says they snore, but so does the husband, and he still lives here! Just look at this face:

How could anyone not love this face?! I know it'd be a lot of work, but he'd be my DOG! My buddy. He could go on walks with me. Of course, our cat would probably crap her pants if we brought a puppy home -- but I think she'd find a way to deal as long as it wasn't another cat. Maybe. Hopefully.

We took our taxes in earlier this week and got a call already telling us they're done. Unfortunately, the only appointment they had open tomorrow for us to go sign and get 'em filed was during the lunch hour -- and we work over 20 miles from their office. I don't want to take half the day off for that! So, we can't get in 'til next Thursday. A week's delay! That sucks. We want our money back! I assume we're getting money back. I sort of half-ass ran the numbers and it appears we are due a refund. Man, how can they be booked up already? We're so early getting our taxes done! There are too many people in this town.

Which reminds me . . . yesterday it took me over an hour to get to work because there were an extra 10,000 or so cars flooding the downtown area because of three major events going on. It was un-fucking real. I had no idea what was causing the snafu until well after I got to work -- and I was not amused! Thanks so much to Arco Arena, the Sacramento Convention Center and the Memorial Auditorium for booking that shit all on the same day, and having it all start and end during the weekday commute. You're doing a great fucking job! Gah! I read the events were expected to get out around the same time as well, at 4:45, so I got the hell out of my office at 4:30 and hit the road! There were some slow downs, but nothing like the trip in.

Anyway, tomorrow's Friday. There's something to celebrate! Hopefully the gods of traffic will be smiling upon us.

Your new dog is adorable (I say that because I hope you get it). What are you going to name it?

Sorry about the traffic, and yes, that sucks about the taxes, but at least you didn't forget your info like I did. What a loser I am.

I think you should get the boston terrier. They are really adorable dogs. And you will have someone who is always happy to see you when you get home!

Peachy: I don't know. I have the hardest time with names! Oh, and an update re: the taxes -- I called back and got an earlier appointment. Tomorrow morning! Yes! On a Saturday even! Persistence does pay. :0)

Pixie: OMG they are so cute!
