OMFG

COLDPLAY is unbelievable! I just saw 'em for the first time last night. Amazing. I've been listening to all their CDs for the past 5 months, and couldn't believe I was just getting into them. Seeing them live made me love them even more. Chris Martin's a pretty funny guy, to boot. During one song he sang, I was thinking "why don't I know this?" When he was done, he said "if you didn't recognize that song, that's because it's shit." Then he said that was his inner monologue and explained where the song came from. At another point, he went into "Til Kingdom Come" and broke a guitar string, which he referred to as a "fucking tragedy." Then he got another guitar and launched into Johnny Cash's "Ring of Fire." He also made a few Napoleon Dynamite references over his white boy 'fro. I like people who don't take themselves too seriously. Oh, and he's remarkably flexible -- he must do yoga with Gwynnie or something!

Me and my best friend went together, drank beer and ate nachos -- and lemme tell ya -- those nachos might as well have been a steak 'cuz we hadn't eaten dinner and they hit the SPOT! We had a blast -- I don't even remember the last time we saw a concert together. I can't wait 'til they put out their next album -- seems like they get better and better with time! If you ever get a chance to see Coldplay, I highly recommend it.

Now, I gotta get movin' and get to work!

I love Coldplay. One of the problems with Idaho is few big bands come here. Glad you enjoyed it.

Who opened for them? Rilo Kiley did for the first leg of their tour, and they're really great.

Jack: I realized after I posted this the other day that I completely failed to acknowledge the opening act: Fiona Apple! She's great, but an arena isn't the best for her sound.
