Bubble Gum Flashback

The husband had to work today so me and the child were on our own. I thought about going to see a movie, but there wasn't anything I wanted to see. We hung out at home 'til lunch time just cleaning some and watching TV, then went out for a pizza & Pepsi. We played our customary hangman on the napkins while we waited, then ate and set off on some errands. We milled around Target a bit and on our way out we bought a bunch of gum. We had been talking about blowing bubbles and bubbles inside bubbles, so I got some Bubble Yum too. We putted around Best Buy for a while and when we got back into the car, we sat there for a good 15 minutes chewing gum for the specific purpose of blowing bubbles. It's been a long time, and I only managed one small bubble within a bubble. I think I needed a second piece of gum. We switched to just seeing who could blow the biggest bubble. It was pretty fun. I realized we should probably spend some more time together on our own.



I dropped her off at her mom's place this afternoon and wasted a few hours on the computer when I got home. The husband came home and we went to Adalberto's for some Mexican takeout -- I ordered the chicken tacos and the sons o' bitches left out my beans & rice! Dammit! I mean, two tacos is really enough, but I like eating the melted cheese off the top of the beans and having a few forkfuls of rice & beans together. Alas, it was not meant to be. C'est la vie . . . or, I guess, es la vida.
