R.I.P. Luther Vandross

Luther Vandross died today -- complications from two strokes he had back in 2003. I have loved his stuff for about as long as I can remember. Totally reminds me of high school! Very sad. What a voice -- I was rooting for him making a comeback from those strokes, but obviously his body was just too tired.



I thought it was particularly sad when I read his mother outlived all her children. Her husband died in the 1950s, when Luther was 7, and her other children have since passed. I can't imagine outliving my whole family. Awful!
