Who loves me?!
Someone does, 'cuz the husband just called to tell me the father in law completely cancelled his trip to stay with us for 2+ weeks next month.
Maybe he was really only coming for the Aerosmith concert and once he found out that wasn't happening he said screw it.
Funny thing, though -- he was planning on staying at our house, had been sending all these e-mails saying he was coming on this date, then on that date, then on another date, etc., then when he decided not to come at all, he just apparently called or e-mailed my brother in law and told him. Then the brother in law called the husband to tell him. What?! Uh, were you not planning on staying at hotel PlatinumGirl? How did we not rate a personal cancellation notice?
When I heard this initially, I felt a little bad for getting all twisted in knots about him coming back out so soon and presuming to stay with us on the dates of his choice with no consideration for what we have going on. Then I thought about how this last communication was delivered and that twinge went away. Whatever, dude.

That is good news! Now you can look at those days he would have been visiting as "free days". Enjoy them when they arrive. We want the pics from the jenga match!
Your prayers have been answered. No matter how he got the message to you, it was received! That's what matters.
Weird that he didn't call to tell you guys.
So party at your place that week then? :)
Gary: Jenga pics, coming up!
Peachy: I know, but . . . so rude!
Pixie: Especially after all the other e-mails . . .
Ian: Make that a 2-week party, brotha; he was gonna be here 15 days!
Well, my FIL hasn't set foot in our home in years. It doesn't bother me now but it bothered the mate.
At least yours thought about stopping in.
