My fire was snuffed out
@#$%^&!
That's a good start.
As I walked from the parking garage to my building, I began to descend the short flight of stairs to the catwalk that connects the parking garage to the building. I think I got one step down when I slipped, then my feet went up under me and I slid down the metal stairs to the bottom. Much like one might sit on a sled and go down a hill, except instead of a sled I had the bare skin of my legs under my skirt. Nice. Scraped up my legs from my knees down to my feet, and it burns like hell and is starting to bruise. Sweet. Both my shoes also came off as I slid down the stairs. Nice. Luckily, I guess, no one was around to see it happen -- though someone walked up right after and helped me pick up all my crap. It took me a full 5-10 minutes to pull myself together, get up to my floor and into my office. Then for an hour I wondered if I should go home and wash off all the scrapes on my leg because they were still burning and I wasn't getting anything done anyway.
I'm at home now.
I washed my legs, which revived the terrible burning sensation, then put Neosporin on everything. How's THAT for a hump day?
Fuck!

Oh no! That looks like a horrible fall. I'm glad you decided to go home. Relax, take it easy and light the fire under your butt this weekend. I hope you don't get too sore.
