Today's game brought to you by the letter F

As in FUCK. The Eagles are playing their first preseason game and the Steelers are already stickin' it to 'em. The husband is yelling at the top of his lungs and jumping about 4 feet in the air. It's a good thing we have vaulted ceilings. When we lived in our apartment, the ceilings were only 9 feet -- he was always in danger of hitting the ceiling or the ceiling fan!

He just came by and molested me while I was writing this -- I guess the word "fuck" caught his attention.

*Sigh* Football is here. I need a beer!

Wow. If he reacts that way for a game that doesn't mean anything, it could be a long, hazardous season for you.

I watched the Packers game a few nights ago and the Ravens/Falcons game the other night. I love football, but preseason isn't very exciting for me.

Good luck with the hubby. Who is he rooting for?

Gary: He's mindful of the fact that they're throwaway games, but he's just excited to see his boys back on the field -- anxious to see what they're looking like.

Peachy: He's so starved for football that he could have had an aneurysm over it last night!

The husband has been a die-hard Philadelphia Eagles fan since he was about 10. It's been a long, hard road!

Hey Plat, I'm temporarily in N Cali, myself (my birthplace) but on the move now so missing Monday Night Football with my Tampa Bay Bucs! It feels like I'm cut off from sex forever! And YOUR hub is an Eagles fan and gets BOTH!?

Color me green -- except for a little red-purple tip! BTW, "F" can stand for Football too -- you see why we get them confused? F-F-F-F! (BTW, I still see you smiling.)

I just don't see how anyone can get excited about pre-season football. I don't even get too wound up for pre-season baseball and that is saying something. You may be in for a long year.

BTW, I've been a Patriots fan since I was a kid. I guess that makes your hubby and I opposites, at least this year. ;)

RA: Eww!

YB: Like I said before, he's starved for football. He knows it doesn't mean anything but it's probably like getting nooky after 8 months of nothing. He's excited.

O: Your rationale is correct. I think he doesn't mind losing in preseason because expectations are low. He mentioned some teams that went 5-0 in preseason and then ate it during the regular season.
