I am remiss!

When Jason and I had our anniversary last month, it didn't even occur to me to post a picture of our wedding cake! It's so purdy, I just gotta. When we got our wedding photos, we ordered six 8x10 re-prints to frame and put on the walls -- 5 in black & white and 1 in color. The color one, of course, was the cake. SOOOOO delicious! Honestly, the best cake ever. Even our photographer said she never eats wedding cake but she felt compelled to try this one and said it was the best she's had. If anyone reading this is in the greater Sacramento area, RUN -- don't walk! -- to the Village Cake Shoppe in Elk Grove or Rocklin. Yum yum yum yum yum. They rock!

Cake!

So other than that I have nothing of substance to say. It's Friday, and I'm on my second Sierra Nevada. My husband and one of his brothers are sitting here in the living room fixing to play some Madden on the PS2 and my stepdaughter and her little friend are busily working on their J-Lo and Ashanti routines so they can come out and put on their mini-shows. The cat is probably passed out on a bed somewhere, and all is well in the house. Aside from these allergies or whatever it is that is plaguing me, I'm good.

I think tomorrow I'm gonna get together with a friend I haven't seen in a while (even though we talk on line and on the phone -- sometimes ya gotta do the in-person thing; how 90's!) and maybe go to a mall that I never go to anymore (they have the only Sephora in town, I think, and are the only local place I know of that sells LORAC). All this traveling for an eyeshadow. I'm not kidding! I tried picking up a new shade at MAC but it hardly shows up. I love the color I use to highlight my brow bone but the lid shade just isn't cutting it. Should've bought the other one I was looking at. Such problems! It's all good. I need to clean this house, but it's not happening tonight.

So no epiphanies or revelations tonight or this week. I had a pretty decent week at work, aside from how I've been feeling physically -- got a lot done. It seems like I go through these spurts of productivity where I accomplish all kinds of stuff, then start spinning my wheels again. At least in this job it's been that way. I really have made some progress, though, that I hadn't been able to until recently -- so I'll be happy with that for now. Go back and try it again on Monday.

Anyway, I don't want to put anyone to sleep so I'll go do some things tomorrow and try and come up with some stuff to write about!

Isn't it nice to just sit down and write that everything is okay and you're doing well with no fanfare?

For instance I'm sitting here with my kitty reading your blog.
