It's RAINING!
In June! Not unheard of, I guess, but weird. I think BeerGirl sent the rain 'cuz I was thisclose to bragging about how San Diego-like our weather has been lately!
"Giant frogs, giant frogs, back to you . . ."
Anyway -- It's Wednesday, HUMP day, and 7 days to VACATION! I'm gonna wear that word out. I'm excited about VACATION. I want to leave for VACATION. I want to be on VACATION! I don't care. I hardly ever take vacations. The last time I took a week off (not counting my grandmother's funeral in April) was our trip to Boston in 2003. 2003! Unacceptable.
So I got our birth certificates together yesterday, ready to go. Note to everyone else, if I haven't said it already -- birth certificates and drivers' licenses won't get you into Mexico anymore after December 2006. They're going to passports for everything. I had a moment of panic the other day reading the State Department's web site because the way it was worded indicated that's the rule now. Then you click through some other links and see it's actually being rolled out in phases. Whew!
Alright, it's quarter after 7 and I've been up about 20 minutes. I gotta get my butt in gear! Rainy days do NOTHING to inspire me to get up and get going. I only want to bake cookies. And hide out in bed. Once again, no such luck!
WTF? The Today show is playing in the background and they are showing a CAR and a TRUCK that have been modified to float -- full of Cubans on their way to Florida! I wasn't really paying attention, but it looked like the authorities got everyone out and then blew up the truck. That was strange.
Okay, I'm going now. Waaaaaaaaaah!

yay! vaca! i'm so excited for you!
Grrrace: I hate that I can't post pics during the work day. That commute was something else! I had ample opportunity for photographs. 7 days and counting . . .
That is totally bizarre. The floating auto thing. Sorry for sending the rain. Afraid that is meteologically impossible, what with me being in the mid-west & all, but I'm sorry all the same.
JC: Cancuuuuuuuuuuun!
BG: It's not so bad -- better than being 105 degrees!
