Now I'm getting somewhere!
Two things that have really been bugging me lately are an insurance thing I need to deal w/to get the husband's case settled, and our wills. I've been walking around with the information I need to address these things, and I just haven't been able to make myself deal with it. Last night was the night -- for both. I have the insurance stuff ready to go -- of course, I have to compose a big old KMA message to go with it for the insurance company, but that shouldn't be too hard. And I made myself go through the wills and related docs to see what actually needs to be done (sign this one, sign and notarize that one, dig out the grant deed to finish filling out another, etc.) so I can send a note to the attorney and get that ball back on track. I didn't read every last word -- that would've taken forever -- but I didn't need to in order to get to the next step. So, once I get my ass ready for work and get in there, I can take care of those two things (or, at least, lob the ball back into someone else's court) and MAN will my load feel lighter!
So many things.
I also did some research for a couples-bridal shower I am planning for my best friend, who is getting married in September. I need to know how many people are actually going before I can do anything, but at least I got some ideas -- and put together some information for her so she can go get her dress altered. Another thing that has been weighing on me!
I should be able to get to the banking & bills at some point today, too -- then I gotta pick up drycleaning, stop by the pharmacy and pick up some photos I dropped off for developing, and do a little grocery shopping. Maybe I can finish vacuuming the house.
And at work, if I can get through a bunch of letters I need to get out and maybe this little pile of filing I have going, and get a few things scheduled, I can move on to the web site updates, the brochures we need to have made, the promotional stuff I need to get ordered and -- holy hell -- I'll feel like I have some CONTROL over some things!
Note that I still haven't managed to get my ass into the gym. Sad. I think I went last Thursday and the Thursday before that. Seriously, only once a week -- and today is Thursday and I am NOT gonna make it to the gym before I go to work! I need to get in earlier today. So I guess I'd better stop blogging and get going.
Ciao!

1. We finally did the wills just over a year ago. Sadly right after we finally got them made (and paid for - ouch) we had a situation where we saw that we DIDNT want the people listed in it as the one to oversee the estate nor take the kids.
2. I have to do banking and bills today too.
3. Go to the gym FOR me k? Cuz... I really hate working out but I need to get rid of the 8 lb. I put on since April.
:)
Every now and again I think about making a will, then realise I have nothing
Meritt: That sucks! Hopefully we won't run into that with our wills. But, luckily for me I work in a law firm and one of our estate lawyers is doing this for me so it shouldn't cost us too much to create or change them *fingers crossed*.
Ian: Awww! Well, things do change once you buy a house -- someone's always got their eye on your house! Plus, our house is full of furnishings and personal effects and it matters to me where they end up -- or, more to the point, where they DON'T end up!
