Oh, man
I remember the days when staying up 'til 2 a.m. wasn't even a thing. I sure as hell wasn't thinking, "let's see, if I go to bed now, I won't be up until at least 10, and maybe I can get to the gym for an hour or so, get a few hours' worth of work done and then go to this thing with my friend . . ."
What am I, 60?! No wonder I'm all stressed out. Always thinking about what I should be doing. And of course, I'm the one putting those demands on myself -- it's not like I have to actually answer to anyone about what I do on the weekend.
The husband had his birthday/poker/kegger party last night. Thankfully, the boys kept it relatively mellow and I stayed on top of the mess, so the house isn't a disaster. Still, someone broke one of my dining room chairs -- though I think there's some kind of defect with the legs because I know it didn't get tossed or anything. I think it's fixable as they're individually attached with hardware on the underside.
As I said, I gave up and went to bed around 2, and there were 3 guys left playing poker, including the husband. I recall waking up at least once, around 4:30, and at that point I think it was down to two, playing video games. So the husband probably came to bed around 5, maybe later. He's gonna be hurtin'!
I'm gonna run around and pick up what's left of this party and get my day started. Lots to do, and heading to San Diego on Tuesday for my conference! I think I need to take this opportunity to work out like a mofo. Maybe I can get a jumpstart on what I need to accomplish there.
Happy Sunday. I wonder if there's something out there I can post that says, "It's Sunday, bitches. Let's get rested up." That's what I need right now, and I don't think I'm going to be doing much resting today!
Ciao.
