I went to the dentist today

I had my semi-annual cleaning. Every time I go, he talks about my teeth like it's the first time he's seen them. I mean, he knows he's seen them -- he recognizes me and all -- but he's always marveling at them. This is him talking to his assistant:

"Beautiful teeth."

"You could take models of these. Is she taking good care of them?" (the assistant had just done my cleaning, and tells him I am)

"That's really commendible."

He goes on about how fantastic he thinks they look. It's always a nice boost to hear, but it's just amusing because I know what he's going to say when he comes in. And then I start to imagine all the funked-up, twisted choppers he must see every day. I could never do that job!

It would be a horrid job. I could only imagine what kinds of things they see. I always hate going to the dentist because they always lie about the pain factor. If they only would be honest!:)

Pixie: Maybe you need a new dentist. You shouldn't have any pain!

Considering he probably sees funked up stuff all the time, you're probably such a breath of fresh air that he can't contain his joy.

I think Funkyb is right. He is so happy to see you every 6 months, that he can't stop talking about your teeth. Plus, your teeth do look nice, and we're not even looking at the insides. :)

JKirlin: I can't even imagine saying that! Maybe if my dentist was hot.

Peachy: :0)

I vaught chickenpox the last time I went to the dentist. I thought my nausea was just after effects of the anaesthetic - until I started popping out in sores :(

Oh, man. Chicken pox as an adult is the worst! I got 'em when I was 20. That was a terrible week or so. But how do you know you got them at the dentist's office?

Ah well I think I probably got them elsewhere, I just started noticing the very first symptoms at the Dentist.

Come to think of it, I probably infected the dentist chair. Uh-oh :(
